Previously known as the Hawker Horizon, the Hawker 4000 is a super-midsize business jet developed and built by Hawker Beechcraft. The midsize jet can comfortably seat 10 people, but its maximum passenger capacity is 14 people.
The interior standing room of the Hawker 4000 is approximately six feet high. Moreover, the carbon composite construction of the aircraft gives this Hawker more interior space than most jets in its category. Its construction also makes it lighter than the average aluminum structure and allows a 45,000-feet (14,000-meter) service ceiling and a 3,445 nautical mile maximum range.
The aircraft’s flight deck has a Honeywell Primus Epic avionics suite with auto-throttle, FADEC, and EICAS. The midsize aircraft boasts of a cruising speed of 470 knots. It also has generous proportions with a length of 25 feet and a width of 6.5 feet. Business travelers would also be delighted with the aircraft’s roomy baggage capacity of 115 cubic ft.
The aircraft is powered by 2 Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308A engines that give 6,900 pounds of thrust on each engine during takeoff. The cabin has a flat floor and it can also accommodate a full capability galley and a comfortable, private, and large lavatory. Indeed, the Hawker 4000 offers the best in passenger comfort.
